Following its launch in November last year, QMusic has today revealed the participants of the inaugural Women In Music mentorship program.

The program will provide mentees with "the right resources to not only inspire them in working in the music industry but also to improve their skills and provide a vast amount of networking opportunities with women in leadership roles". Eight mentorships were on offer from female leaders in the Queensland business community.

“We were thrilled with the number of applications we received to participate in this program” said Kim Pengelly. “It showed there is a strong demand for more programs like this to exist and we hope we can continue to run the program annually.”

The mentorship program begins this month and at its conclusion a $16,000 funding pool, supported by the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training - Advancing Women in Business Initiative, will be distributed to enable participants to up-skill and succeed through further professional development.

The program participants for the inaugural program include; Nicole Cross, Ash Kerley, Tyler McLoughlan, Emma Bosworth, Martine Cotton, Noella Nix, Ella Fence and Carlia Fuller. Read their full bios below and follow the link here for more information regarding the program.
