A man has reportedly been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after a suspected drug overdose at Rainbow Serpent festival in Victoria.

According to The Courier, paramedics were called to the Lexton site at around 3.30am this morning following reports a 20-year-old male had succumbed to a drug overdose.

He was transferred to Ballarat Hospital in a critical condition.

Another male has also reportedly been arrested for drug trafficking.

It comes after three people were injured after a truck rolled onto a tent in the festival campsite on Thursday.

Police have also confirmed the death of another person who was on their way to Rainbow Serpent this morning.

A vehicle travelling to the festival "struck a barrier causing it to roll onto its roof just before 11.30am".

While the driver sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries, the passenger, who was the only other occupant in the car, died at the scene.

The Music has contacted Rainbow Serpent for comment.
