Assisting the likes of Courtney Barnett, All Our Exes Live In Texas and Mia Dyson in previous years, PPCA and the Australia Council have today opened applications for a new round of recording grants.
The next round will see five more artists score $15,000 to assist in their next creative endeavour.
“On behalf of PPCA, we are delighted to continue our partnership with the Australia Council to offer these grants and contribute to the diversity of Australian music,” PPCA CEO Dan Rosen said.
“This initiative is very close to our heart at PPCA and we look forward to helping more local artists realise their musical ambition.”
The widely successful program launched in 2013, with last year’s recipients including Alex The Astronaut, The Putbacks’ Justin Marshall, composer Lachlan Skipworth, OKENYO and jazz musician Sandy Evans.
Application are now open until March 19, with more details available via the PPCA website.
