Acclaimed American singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten has confirmed a return to Australia for a run of headline shows.

The tour will see the Brooklyn-based artist perform in Melbourne, Brisbane and Hobart's Dark Mofo in June with a Sydney show to be announced in the near future.

"It’s been so long since I’ve been on the road and I am so excited to say that I will be returning to Australia and New Zealand this year" Van Etten shared of the news.

"Always have such an amazing time and can’t wait to share these new songs with you all."

The announcement comes after the release of her first album since 2014 last Friday. "Remind Me Tomorrow testifies Van Etten’s evolution as a musician as she contemplates life and love and the accompanying kaleidoscope of emotions," we wrote of the LP. Check out the full review here.

Tickets for the shows go on sale 24 January, while passes for her Dark Mofo appearance will be announced along with the festival program in April.
