Frontier Touring has ranked third in the global list of top selling promoters in Billboard's End Of Year report.

Frontier sold 2,768,259 tickets during the qualification period across 440 shows which included Paul McCartney, Sam Smith, Foo Fighters, Harry Styles, David Byrne, Celine Dion and the record-breaking Ed Sheeran tour. The company grossed $US245,080,443.

Speaking of the achievement Managing Director of Frontier Touring, Michael Gudinski said, “Frontier has gone from strength to strength over the past decade and I’m incredibly proud to see us, as an independent promoter exclusive to Australia and New Zealand, playing in the same space as global promoting giants AEG Presents and Live Nation.

“Frontier’s business model has always been an artist and fan first approach.  We don’t believe in discounting tickets, we fight passionately on behalf of artists and fans against ticket scalping and we don’t believe in price gouging.  They’re not revolutionary concepts but I think those who have toured with us appreciate the way we work and that is ultimately reflected in our results.

"2019 is set to be another incredibly busy year for us and we’ve got some exciting announcements to come.”

Global company Live Nation topped the list with a total grossing of $US3,683,363,249. This figure was not broken down by region. The Music has reached out to Live Nation AU&NZ for comment.

Other Australian companies featured include TEG Dainty at #14 grossing $US58,689,322 and Chugg Touring at #16 grossing $US48,325,497.
