Yesterday (20 December), renowned hip-hop-lawyer-turned-podcaster Combat Jack lost his fight with colon cancer, passing away at age 48.
Jack, born Reggie Osse, announced his diagnosis in October via Twitter, saying “In [seven] years of podcasting, I’ve never missed an episode,” after fans questioned why an episode of Jack's show was missed
“I got hit with some real life shit. I was recently diagnosed with Colon Cancer.”
Twitter has been flooded with tributes to the hip hop icon who over the years hosted the likes of Action Bronson, Chuck D, Damon Dash, RZA, Scarface and D-Nice on his show.

He lived his shit. He kept pushing forward, pivoting his game, and lifting others along the way. He knew and valued the power of the next generation. And he would come up and tell you what was dope and what was wack.
