The final radio ratings for 2017 are in.

Though there are some surprises and some expected results in the last survey of the year, all eyes are on triple j as the station farewells legends Zan Rowe and Dom Alessio who depart the youth broadcaster after 13 and eight years respectively.

"We're stoked to be ending the year with great ratings for triple j," Content Director, Ollie Wards, said in a statement given to The Music.

"It’s been a big few months announcing our Hottest 100 Weekend, voting opening, our new presenter line up and Zan Rowe’s last triple j show.

"Off the back of the first year for Ben, Liam and Brooke on Breakfast as well as other changes like Gen joining Lewis on Drive, these ratings show listeners have really got to know our new voices.

"Breakfast has had significant gains in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide while our overall listenership increased nationally."
