
In a surprising move, Hilltop Hoods have stepped down as artists and owners of Golden Era Records.
Making an announcement via Instagram, the acclaimed Aussie hip hop trio said the iconic label would continue with current Operations Manager, Ben Martin, leading the charge.

“We started GE in order to create a home for ourselves and our friends,” the statement reads.
“Over the next nine years we were lucky enough to be surrounded by some of the most talented artists in the country and release some albums that we’re really proud of.
“But as our families grow we find ourselves with less and less time for extra-curricular activities.”
With a new album due out next year, Hilltop Hoods have stated the move is so they can focus on their children and music.
