Sydney Festival aren’t content with just a couple of rooms, they’re building a whole village in Hyde Park to house all of 2018’s plentiful sideshows.
As a part of Sydney Festival, The Meriton Festival Village is back in 2018 with the brand new addition of Village Sideshow which is set to house a VR Ghost Train, the world’s first Karaoke Carousel, and Lucas Abela and the Temple of Din – a hybrid pinball arcade where all of the machines are made of musical instruments.
But wait, that’s not all! They’ll be roving art installations from artists Jesse Stevens and Dean Petersen including a genuine 1970s party robot and a travelling ‘cabinet of curiosities’. You can also take a trip down the Continuum infinity tunnel, made by the same art team behind Flume’s Infinity Prism.
More entertainment than you can poke a stick at; The Village Sideshow will run throughout January, for more information head over to the Sydney Festival site.
