The annual BEFEST awards took place overnight, recognising the excellent in creative branding in the past year with both beloved festival Splendour in The Grass and Secret Sounds scoring an award.

As Mumbrella reports, the Byron Bay festival has nabbed itself a bronze award in the Best Branded Sponsorship or Product Integration category for their partnership with Samsung as well as Secret Sound’s Connect program.

Splendour’s team up with Samsung saw them launch the #ToTheMakers project at the 2017 event, highlighting visual artist Brooklyn Whelan.

Other big winners from the night include Air New Zealand, MLA and Hoyts.
