Once again throwing their support behind South Australia’s burgeoning local music scene, Music SA has detailed their Bands On Track competition for 2018, which will see emerging artists share the stage some of the world’s biggest artists at the Adelaide 500 concert.

The annual competition gives promising new acts the opportunity to showcase their talent to a massive audience – and get paid for it – and the 2018 winners will be rubbing shoulders with previously announced headliners Cold Chisel, LIVE, Robbie Williams and more.

Applications are now open and close December 15, with six winners – as chosen by Music SA - announced in January.

The Adelaide 500 concert series will run to 2 – 4 March, with two local acts performing each night.

"Coincidentally it is also Music SA's 20th birthday and over the years the Bands On Track initiative has been a special partnership,” said Music SA general manager Lisa Bishop.

“This is a great opportunity for local artists to perform on such a large stage and thanks to the Adelaide 500 this tradition can continue."

Past winners have included The Beards, Grenadiers, Horror My Friend and more, and you can enter via the Bands On Track website.
