It’s been a turbulent couple of weeks for trance event Earthcore, and after calling off their Sydney event last minute, the festival has now cancelled this weekend’s WA and Qld events.
Promoters have posted to Facebook, citing a lack of ticket sales and a “carefully orchestrated advertised smear campaign by international artist Coming Soon”, who withdraw early last week after alleging they had not been paid.
The Sydney event was cancelled on Friday after a number of acts withdraw for the same reason, and over the weekend a man was charged with indecent assault at the Melbourne festival.
Promoters say that refunds will be processed as of December 15 and Consumer Affairs have stated that punters who purchased tickets via credit cards can seek a chargeback through their financial institution. If you have still not received a refund 28 days after Earthcore commence the process, you can contact Consumer Affairs.
