Following last year's debut EP Bluestone Lane, Melbourne indie-folk songwriter Brad Ellis is releasing his first full-length under The Hunter Express banner this 8 Dec.
The self-titled LP features collaborative efforts from a slew of Melbourne music makers - including Jarrad Brown (Dorsal Fins), Olaf Scott (Saskwatch), Fraser A Gorman and Matt Dixon (Broads) - and was recorded over a handful of weeks at Newmarket Studios. It also continues the creative evolution Ellis showed on Bluestone Lane, showing further musical diversity and development.
"I feel like I've grown from my last EP recording," says Ellis. "I came into this project with more of an open mind and allowed creativity to always try to be the focus. This time I felt like I had more time to try new ideas, never really afraid to scrap an idea and try something new."
In celebration, Ellis is also dropping a new film clip for album single Cool, a live performance of the track filmed in the studio.
