Bluesfest has entered the NSW Tourism Hall Of Fame on the back of its third-straight win at the NSW Tourism Awards.

The Byron Bay spectacle again won out the Best Major Festival & Event award, beating fierce competition including Vivid Sydney and the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras.

"Pinch me I'm dreaming, we just won Best Major Festival & Event at the NSW Tourism Awards for the third year in a row," Bluesfest Executive Director, Peter Noble, said.

"Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would happen. I would like to thank everyone associated with presenting the event for their incredible dedication and professionalism."

In 2017 alone, Bluesfest brought in $107 million and 32,000 visitors to the Northern Rivers region.

Meanwhile, it's full steam ahead for the 2018 edition of the festival, which will feature huge names like Robert Plant & The Sensational Space Shifters, Lionel Richie, Tash Sultana and Youssou N'Dour; click on theGuide for more details.
