Violent Soho are coming home for Christmas and will play a massive pub show in their home suburb.
The Queensland outfit will return to play the Mansfield Tavern on Saturday 23 December, having first played at the venue in late 2014.
"We love playing the Mansfield Tavern!" the band said
"When we were kids it was called the Rock Arena and they had bands like Grinspoon and No Doubt play – it doesn't really get that many bands playing there anymore.
"Being 30 mins out of the city it makes sense but we're from the suburbs and love any excuse to take it back! Rumour has it that's it's up for sale so we want to play it at least one more time before our spiritual stomping ground is sold and we can't play there anymore. It's literally the only way to see us with a home field advantage.
"We're going all out on the Christmas theme and putting together a VERY different set list. So come and celebrate the festive time of year in our suburb of Mansfield in Brisbane Queensland Australia with us. It's going to be one for the ages!"
The gig is to be hosted by Lindsay McDougall and will also feature sets from WAAX and Aaron Gocs.
To keep in the festive spirit, Violent Soho will also be hosting a free Christmas-themed photo shoot with both the band and Santa Claus (played by Gocs) on the night.
