The run to #1 on this week's ARIA Albums chart looks to be a two-way race between an Australian favourite and an international heavyweight.
According to midweek figures, Sam Smith's second LP, The Thrill Of It All, is the favourite to debut at top spot with a predicted top-three finish, while Guy Sebastian's eighth offering, Conscious, is expected to land in the top five and challenge for #1.
While Smith will be aiming for back-to-back top-charting Aussie albums on the back of his 2014 debut, In The Lonely Hour, Sebastian is gunning for his third #1 record, following on from his 2003 debut, Just As I Am, and 2012's Armageddon.
Both albums will be forced to duke it out with P!nk's Beautiful Trauma, which has held onto top spot for three straight weeks.
Meanwhile, Maroon 5's Red Pill Blues, Kelsea Ballerini's Unapologetically and new collection, A Love So Beautiful: Roy Orbison & The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra are predicted to debut in the top ten.
Other album debuts this week come from Blake Shelton with Texoma Shore (top 20), Polaris' The Mortal Coil (top 30), Grace VanderWaal's Just The Beginning, collab LP, 21 Savage, Offset & Metro Boomin's Without Warning, Kygo's Kids In Love (all top 40) and Nic Cester's Sugar Rush (top 50).
Over on the Singles chart, Post Malone's Rockstar (ft 21 Savage) is chasing seven weeks straight at #1, however expect to see Sam Smith's Too Good At Goodbyes climb back into the top three and make a play for top spot.
New cuts this week come from Taylor Swift with Call It What You Want (top ten) and NERD'S Lemon and Big Shaq's Man's Not Hot (both top 50).
