Members of The Screaming Jets, Baby Animals, Electric Mary, Massive, Figures, Peta Evans-Taylor, Tequila Mockingbyrd and more have teamed up under the joint moniker of One In Seven to release a charity single to raise funds in the fight against prostate cancer.

The group features 37 musicians from 17 Aussie acts — including more than 20 vocalists, six drummers, three bassists, six guitarists and even a didgeridoo — and will release a cover of Pete Seeger's Turn! Turn! Turn!, as made famous by The Byrds in 1965.

The band's name is taken from the statistic that one in seven Australian men is affected by prostate cancer, which is responsible for the country's second-highest number of male cancer death.

The single's funds will be used in support of the Prostate Cancer Foundation Of Australia, Movember Foundation, Rennie Grove Hospice Care and Prostate Cancer UK.

It was produced at Lighthill Studios with Ricki Rae (X Factor, Taxiride) will be released this Friday, 3 November, via iTunes, Amazon and Google Play, and is available on both CD and vinyl through a recently launched Pozible campaign.

Pledges start at $5, which nets supporters a digital copy of the single, with additional pledges yielding a compilation album featuring Turn! Turn! Turn! and tracks by many contributing bands, special T-shirts, a limited-edition 7" vinyl and more.

Check out a preview of the track below, and head to One In Seven's website for more information about the initiative.
