Hudson Whitlock, the stalwart drummer of Melbourne collective The Cactus Channel, has been hard at work this year on a new solo project, Brenda, and will be making his live full-band debut every Wednesday in December at the Evelyn Hotel.
Though it'll be the first chance for audiences to hear what he's been up to lately in the flesh, Brenda has actually kept super busy this year, having already released two albums to date — January's Think Nothing Of It and July's You're No Barry White — with a third on the way, due to land next year.
Both albums will be available at each show, which will also feature a super-cool cast of support acts changing on a weekly basis, including Maria Moles & Adam Halliwell, Jaala VS MAN and DJ Tanzer (Wednesday 6 December), Jeffers Limit, Jnbo (mime set) and DJ Nature Girl (13 December), Cool Explosions, Laneous Band (solo) and DJ Fairbanks Robinson (20 December) and Niine, Angus Leslie (solo) and DJ Reggie Email (27 December).
