South Korean six-piece boy band VIXX will make their Australian debut with a pair of shows next month in support of their latest album, Shangri-La.

The successful sextet will perform their first-ever Aussie shows in Sydney and Melbourne, bringing their internationally renowned live show to local audiences along with a few treats - including photo opportunities, soundcheck passes and more — for those fans who splurge on Gold tickets (plus all ticketholders will receive an exclusive tour message card from the band).

VIXX — which stands for Voice, Visual, Value in Excelsis — were formed in 2012, its members (and name) chosen by the public during that year's reality show MyDOL. Their performances are generally constructed in service of portraying a particular story or concept, with Shangri-La being the latest chapter in their growing discography.

Unlike a lot of other reality-show alumni, VIXX have only grown in success over the past five years, having released three albums prior to this year's effort — Voodoo (2013), Chained Up (2015) and Depend On Me (2016) — as well as winning multiple awards (23, at last count) and starring in several follow-up shows following their inception out of MyDOL, the latest being this year's Project VIXX 3 — Invaders From Space.

Tickets for both of VIXX's debut Australian shows will go on sale tomorrow, 27 October.
