The Australian music publicity landscape has grown a little larger with the arrival of Collected PR, a new agency from the team behind SUM Management, the home of artists such as Katie Noonan, KLP, Thandi Phoenix, Woodes, Just A Gent and Samsaruh.
Created by owner Jesse Flavell, Collected PR's team also includes seasoned industry faces Meg Collins (consultant) and Jess Searle (publicist), who together possess more than 30 years' experience in the biz across artist, label, touring, festival and brand PR and marketing.
The company states its mission as being about connecting "cool artists and cool music with the Australian media", with their expertise extending into servicing, print and online partnerships.
They plan to work with artists "directly … to create a plan that encompasses all the services [they] require, coming up with creative and innovative ideas to engage with media to gain optimum and meaningful media coverage".
"There is such an overwhelming amount of music fighting for attention at the moment that many great songs and artists get lost in the noise," Flavell said of the new venture in a statement.
"Tackling PR with a strategic, creative and thorough approach should be a priority for every release. I’m excited to see the results our team are already achieving for our clients."
