The Music (that's us!) has today announced an exciting shake-up to its print and digital platforms, with some big changes on the way.
From November, The Music's weekly Victorian and NSW issues, along with its fortnightly Queensland magazine, will be issued monthly, with the final current format editions hitting the streets today.
The launch of the monthly issue will see the magazine return to a larger format with increased quality stock and a completely new design. The new format will enable the magazine to explore a wider variety of content and offer a greater focus on in-depth, engaging pieces.
We at The Music will also ensure to continue the release of special and exclusive state-specific editions moving forward.
Meanwhile, The Music website will also get a facelift of sorts, with a new design on the way as well as an increased focus on video and audio content, including its two podcasts, The Music Podcast With Dave & Neil and The Lashes, which both launched this year.
"We are incredibly excited to move into the next phase of our print publishing life," The Music Managing Director, Craig Treweek, said.
"A monthly title will allow us to continue to create Australia’s pre-eminent music titles, now with a greater focus on long-form journalism.
"The internal restructure will allow us to continue to grow Australia's third most-visited music website, as per Nielsen Auditing, 16 October, and place a greater focus on video content and our growing podcast network."
