2005 Australian Idol winner Kate DeAraugo will plead guilty to drug and weapon charges after appearing in Bendigo court today. 

The singer is reportedly facing up to 15 years in prison after being caught in possession of ice twice in five days by police, as well as a large knife and tomahawk without lawful excuse.

According to Herald Sun, the court today heard that the 31-year-old will plead guilty to drug driving, possessing ice, possessing a knife and tomahawk and breaching her bail, however a drug trafficking charge has reportedly been stricken. 

After leaving the courtroom today, DeAraugo told Herald Sun of the charges, "Of course, I'm sorry".

DeAraugo remains on bail and will again appear in Bendigo Magistrates Court on 15 November.
