With Brisbane fans already giddy over the news that comics legend Stan Lee would be coming to Australia for this November's Supanova Comic Con & Gaming expo, Adelaide punters can now add themselves to that excitement, as organisers today announced that the Marvel icon will be adding the South Australian capital to his itinerary.
The news comes amid a swell of new Supastar guests joining the year-ending conventions' bills, including Wynonna Earp's Melanie Scrofano, Legends Of Tomorrow's Franz Drameh, Dark Matter's Jodelle Ferland and Shelley Hennig of Teen Wolf in both cities.
Adelaide gets a little extra sweetness with an exclusive appearance from Stephen Hunter (The Hobbit trilogy, Wolf Creek: The Series), while both events will also welcome acclaimed authors Keri Arthur (The Outcast, Souls Of Fire series), Ian Irvine (Three Worlds sequence, Human Rites trilogy) and Marlee Jane Ward (Welcome To Orphancorp, Psynode) as well as debut authors Corey J White (Killing Gravity), Daniel Findlay (Year Of The Orphan) and the Lindsay brothers, James and Marc (Plato Wyngard series).
That's all in addition to the existing guest line-up — including Millie Bobbie Brown (Stranger Things), Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf), Graham McTavish (Preacher, The Hobbit), James Marsters and Nicholas Brendon (Buffy), Christian Kane (Angel), John Jarratt (Wolf Creek) and heaps more — as well as the usual spread of cosplay, fan events, musical performances, masterclasses, Q&As, wrestling, tournaments, and a warehouse worth of purchasable goods.
Supanova 2017 will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from 10-12 November, and Adelaide Showground from 18-19 November.
