The acclaimed Parramatta Lanes festival is soon back for another round, and organisers have promised a jam-packed program of culinary, cultural and artistic excellence to sate the senses this October.
Spread across four days and 12 laneways and hidden spaces in the Parramatta CBD, Parramatta Lanes will boast more than 50 food stalls and five licensed bars alongside a range of art commissions and exhibitions, including the music-festival refuse-recycling Doughnuts, portrait series Finishing School and People Of Parramatta, the visual splendour of White Light and much more.
Music will be curated by the good people at The Plot, featuring live tunes, DJs and roving performers, as well as TUT dance performnaces, the rockabilly strains of That Redhead, gypsy swing and jazz from The Cope Street Parade and cyberfunk goodness from DJ Coco Varma, among others.
Keeping tongues and tummies happy will be some of the city's best experts in eatables, including Butter Sydney, Balls Sydney, Espresso Warriors, 2 Smoking Barrels, Agape Organics, Neil Perry's Burger Project, the KOI Dessert Bar, StroopBros, Adora Chocolates, Pimp My Donut, Sweethawk and Fluffy Crunch, to name a few.
Add in some drinks courtesy of artisan distillers Archie Rose Distilling Co, the Riverside Brewery range at Bar 30, and more refreshments from 350 Restaurant & Lounge, Jamie's Italian & Bar and The Emporium Bar, and you've got the recipe for a seriously delectable week on the streets.
The 2017 Parramatta Lanes event will be held from Tuesday 10 to Friday 13 October, kicking off at 5pm each night.
