Chicago outfit The Orwells have just kicked off their debut tour of Australia, and they're set to storm Brisbane tonight with a show at The Foundry.

But before doors open for that gig, the US rockers have announced a free, all-ages instore event at the recently reopened Foundry Records cafe and record store from 6.30pm tonight.

The band will be playing a selection of tunes from their excellent new full-length, Terrible Human Beings, as well as holding a signing session for fans to make mementos of their merchandise and have a bit of up-close-and-personal time with the guys before they head upstairs for their 18+ main event.

The instore appearance will be the band's second-ever show for an Aussie audience, having only begun their maiden voyage here in Newcastle last night.

Make sure you get along to Foundry Records to help make them feel welcome and, if you're feeling super-keen to party all night, pick up tickets for The Foundry show either at the instore or online.

Following their appearances in Brisbane, The Orwells' tour continues on to Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, the Central Coast, Wollongong and Bondi.
