Australian musos have done the country proud at the inaugural Electronic Music Awards, which was broadcast to a worldwide audience over Twitter on Thursday (US time) from a custom multi-stage warehouse in Los Angeles.

RÜFÜS — known Stateside as RUFUS DU SOL — picked up the title of Live Act Of The Year, as well as earning a second nod by default thanks to Sasha's remix of their track Innerbloom, which was named Record Of The Year.

Local golden boy Flume also scored one of those sweet, sweet alley-oop awards, technically being a part of the Remix Of The Year with Illenium's remix of the Sydney artist's track Say It (beating RÜFÜS'/Sasha's Innerbloom remix in that category).

Meanwhile, the unstoppable Alison Wonderland was named New Artist Of The Year, fending off some heavy competition from the likes of Kungs, Marshmello, Mura Masa, Rezz and San Holo.

On the international side of things, Bonobo walked away with Album Of The Year for Migration, while Major Lazer's Cold Water (ft. Justin Bieber & MØ) was named Single Of The Year.

Diplo (Diplo & Friends) and Pete Tong (The Essential Selection) both tied for Radio Show Of The Year, while Cashmere Cat (Producer Of The Year), Eric Prydz (DJ Of The Year) and New York venue Output (Club Of The Year) were also among the victors.
