Sydney roots-reggae band Black Bird Hum know how to party, and they're taking that nous on the road for a wide-ranging run of headline and festival shows from later this month.

Kicking off with a gig at Bellingen's Federal Hotel on 28 September, the band will hit the Gold Coast and Brisbane on their way to the Caloundra Music Festival in early October. From there, they'll head to the Coogee Beer & Cider Festival and Marrickville Festival before tackling the Spring Street Social and Northern Beaches Music Festival, in early November.

They close out the jaunt with a pair of shows in Newcastle (with The Mouldy Lovers) and Manly, where they wrap up at Moonshine on 5 November.

The band have had a successful run in the lead-up to these shows, having supported both Arrested Development and Kingfisha last year before squirreling themselves away at the start of 2017 to write some new music.

They also supported UK reggae legends Black Slate back in February, busted out a ska set at March's SKABQ event with Melbourne Ska Orchestra and Project Collective Ska, hit up Manly's Food & Wine Festival in May and released a cover of Last Dinosaurs' track Apollo for good measure.

Now, they're readying themselves for a busy few months on the road, and you can find all the requisite details at the band's Facebook page.
