The month started out strong for Oztix, who hosted one of the best parties at BIGSOUND featuring surprise special guests British India.

We take a look back at the brilliant talent that graced the Brightside stages during their event.

Sarah Hogan

Brisbane pop artist Sarah Hogan kicked off proceedings on the outdoor stage with indie-folk charm, catchy chorus melodies and an infectious energy that set the mood just right. You can hear a single from her band, Allurer, below.

IV League

Melbourne outfit IV League launched their new indie-pop gem, Change My Mind, at BIGSOUND. You can catch them live at Cut The Mustard in Melbourne in November.

British India

As mentioned earlier, punters were treated to a surprise set from Aussie rock legends British India, who showcased new music from their upcoming Forgetting The Future LP (out Sept 22). Their epic 32-date tour in support kicks off the same day as release and you don’t want to miss the new material live.

The Teskey Brothers

“The soul can be heard in the picking, in the jerking, in the drumming and the bass, and the entire ensemble harmonises with Josh Teskey's world-class pipes,” said The Music’s Hannah Welch of the band’s live show last month. They delivered just that during their Oztix BIGSOUND party appearance.

The Hunting Birds

Dominating the indoor stage, WA-born indie-roots/rock act The Hunting Birds have had a massive year, honing their live show with killer support and festival slots as well as forging their own fan base with a tight live show.

Introvert

Newcastle punk rockers Introvert have scored a wealth of accolades with single Everything Is Different Now, and recently wrapped a tour with AFI.

Machine Age

“Due to the one-guitarist, one-drummer set up, the hometown duo naturally draw comparisons to Royal Blood, but they completely make the set their own, with hints of EDM throughout the heavy rock tracks. If you walked in tonight not knowing much about Machine Age, there is a very good chance you also walked out planning to listen to Machine Age when you got home.” The Music gave major props to the local act during BIGSOUND.

POW! Negro

One of the most talked about BIGSOUND artists, the WA act did not disappoint at the Oztix party. Their songs are catchy and their live show is tight. Expect big things to come.
