Marky Ramone, Ariel Pink, Chippy Nonstop & More Announced For Face The Music 2017

Face The Music have just dropped their first speaker announcement and it's a big one!

Firstly, they've got a Ramone. Yep, that's right. Marky Ramone will surely have a story or ten to share from his time drumming with one of the most important punk acts of all time. This is a keynote you won't want to miss. 

Ariel Pink has just dropped his 11^th studio album, Dedicated to Bobby Jameson, a tribute to a '60s superstar who chose to forgo fame and instead spent the rest of his life battling homelessness and addiction. Pink will be sharing how Jameson influenced both himself and his record in his keynote address.

Chippy Nonstop is a DJ, rapper, actor and writer, who is also the brain behind Intersessions, a "workshop series of artist run seminars aims to address the significant gender and sexuality based imbalance within the music industry, offering DJ and sound focused workshops for women, and those within the LGBTQ+ spectrum." Nonstop will be bringing the series to this year's Face The Music. 

Head of Collective Artists Rebecca Young and FKP Scorpio's Silke Westera will be sharing their experiences as booking agents, and Anika Mottershaw will be telling crowds all about her time in A&R with Bella Union (you know, the label with Father John Misty and Beach House?). 

Bjorn Pfarr is the man behind the 37,000 attendee strong Reeperbahn conference and festival in Germany. If there's anyone that can tell you how to run a large scale event, we're picking it to be him.

PLUS there's dancer, choreographer and activist Amrita Hepi, Brisbane's own Mallrat, triple j's Music Director Nick Findlay, writer Monica Tan and Lussier Music Supervisor Nicole Prutch.
