Placebo were forced to call off the first show of their Australian tour in Perth at the last minute on Monday night due to illness.
Perth Arena made the announcement just after 8.30pm (AWST) on its social media handles.
A statement issued by the tour promoter last night reads, "Placebo regretfully advise that they are unable to perform tonight’s concert at Perth Arena due to illness.
"Promoter TEG Live has requested that fans retain their tickets until more information is available.
"The band hope to make it up to their Perth fans as soon as possible."
URGENT ADVICE: Placebo regrettably advise that tonight's show in #Perth is cancelled. Please hang on to your tickets, more info to come.
