Caroline Australia will distribute the existing catalogue and upcoming releases for West Australian management company and record label Spinning Top under a new partnership deal announced this morning.
The label services company — which already has existing deals with the likes of Spunk, Cooking Vinyl Australia, Good Manners, Popfrenzy, Nuclear Blast and more — will take under its wing Spinning Top's esteemed roster of artists, which includes a who's-who of the west's best: Allbrook/Avery, Peter Bibby, Cameron Avery, Fascinator, Gum, Gunns, Mink Mussel Creek, Nicholas Allbrook, POND, Shiny Joe Ryan and Tame Impala.
The first release under the new partnership will be Bibby's impending single Medicine (and its accompanying album), out on Friday 8 September, with GUM, Nicholas Allbrook and Fascinator set to release albums in the near future too, getting things off to a strong start for the newly inked team-up.
"We’re obviously excited to be teaming with Jodie [Regan], Garth [Carwadine] and the Spinning Top extended family," Caroline Australia's general manager, Tim Janes, said in a statement.
"After spending some time with them we’re also total fans of their attitude and relationship with their artists," he said. "We can’t wait to help them promote this motley and super-talented roster."
Naturally, Spinning Top owner Regan returned the enthusiastic sentiments about the prospects of the new deal in a statement of her own.
"We started a label over here at Spinning Top with the idea that the artists on our label would have the freedom to release the music they wanted, whenever and however they pleased," she said.
"We firmly believe that partnering with such fine folks as Tim and George [Dalziel] over at Caroline Australia will give us the resources and flexibility to help us serve our artists exactly as we always intended."
