
Gang Of Youths have defied the odds (and Ed Sheeran), today picking up their first ever #1 album on the ARIA Albums chart with Go Farther In Lightness.
The Sydney outfit beat out Aussie legend Paul Kelly and last week's top-charting album, Life Is Fine, and Ed Sheeran's ÷ (Divide), which charted at #2 and #3 respectively, just ahead of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard's Sketches Of Brunswick East which smashed midweek predictions to debut at #4.

Meanwhile, fellow Sydney band Thy Art Is Murder scored their highest placing on the Albums chart, with Dear Desolation debuting at #5.
US heavyweights Brand New and Welsh pop-punkers Neck Deep also cracked the top ten this week, with Science Fiction charting at #6 and The Peace & The Panic at #8.
Other albums debuting on the chart this week include Grizzly Bear's Painted Ruins (#26), Steven Wilson's To The Bone (#30) and Everything Everything's A Fever Dream (#68).
Over on the Singles chart, Pink has held onto the top spot with What About Us, while Justin Bieber & BloodPop®'s Friends has debuted at #2.
