Sydney favourites Gang Of Youths and Thy Art Is Murder are in a race to top spot on the ARIA Albums chart this week, with both gunning for their debut #1 LPs.
According to midweek figures, Gang Of Youths' second record, Go Farther In Lightness, is the favourite and primed for a top three debut, while Thy Art Is Murder's Dear Desolation is just behind and should land in the top five.
The bands will not only have to contend with each other, but also Aussie legend Paul Kelly's Life Is Fine (which debuted at #1 last week) and Ed Sheeran's ever-resilient ÷ (Divide).
Other albums debuting on the chart this week include Neck Deep's The Peace & The Panic, (top ten), Grizzly Bear's Painted Ruins (top 20), Steven Wilson's To The Bone, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard's Sketches Of Brunswick East and Everything Everything's A Fever Dream (both top 50).
Over on the Singles chart, Justin Bieber is set to land yet another track of his in the top 20, with BloodPop® likely to debut in the top three and potentially bump last week's top charting track, What About Us, by Pink.
Expect to also see US heavyweights Miley Cyrus and Khalid chart in the top 50 with their respective new tunes, Young, Dumb & Broke and Younger Now.
