Hold onto your wands people, because Melbourne Symphony Orchestra are bringing everyone’s favourite Voldemort slayer to the Plenary at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre later this year, with a series of Harry Potter concerts, celebrating the awesome music from the blockbusting movie franchise.
This magical series of performances begins with John Williams’ scores for Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone and Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets this November. The talented members of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra will be playing every note heard on both movies, performed in sync to the film, projected simultaneously in high definition.
These first two performances will be followed by similar performances of the scores from the rest of the movie cycle in 2018, which features music by James Shearman, Alastair King, and Alexandre Desplat. Dates to be announced.
The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra presents Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone, 16 & 18 Nov, and Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets, 17 & 18 Nov, at the Plenary, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
