The xx have today announced that they'll be partnering with organisation Plus 1 for their upcoming Australian tour to help support local LGBT+ charities.

SBS have today reported that the trio will be donating $1 from each Australian ticket sale to Plus 1, which will then distribute the money to Aussie charities.

Plus 1 is an initiative created by artists for artists to help support charities and causes that are important to them.

It was founded by Arcade Fire's Marika Anthony-Shaw, after the band were looking for a way to raise money to support Haiti. Arcade Fire's Win and Will Butler both serve as advisors for the organisation.

The announce comes just a day after The xx have confirmed their Australian tour and artists Kelela and Earl Sweatshirt as their supports for the shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in January next year.

Tickets are on sale from 25 Aug, check theGuide for more info.
