If you are someone who loves their skating and or pubs, then this undoubtedly right up your alley.

Sydney-based skate company PASS~PORT has this month released a series of decks inspired by some of the city's most iconic pubs.

The "Public Tiles" deck series showcase tilings from such beloved establishments as the Glengarry Castle Hotel in Redfern and the Cricketers ArmsShakespeare Hotel and Hopetoun Hotel in Surry Hills.

PASS~PORT owner Trent Evans tells The Music he has always been fascinated by the tile works throughout the popular drinking holes.

"We had a rough plan but, nothing too set in stone," Evans says.

"It was just a matter of turn up to a pub and talk to the 'publican' about shooting their tiles.

"A few history lessons and a couple of the wood with the bar staff and we were ready to shoot these extraordinary tile works that are so unique to each pub.

"To recreate these tiles these days is next to impossible. There is so much rich history and craftsmanship in every segment. It had to be documented."
