Cobra
Cobra was formed in 2012 by guitarist Yanni Apostolidis and drummer Jonty Czuchwicki. The current line-up is completed by bassist Kyle Clarke. As a predominately instrumental band, Cobra are known for their conceptual arrangements, interesting time signatures, unpredictable transitions and tight live show. Gloom is the first single from their upcoming debut album, Locking Tusks With Creation, which has been five years in the making.
Darkknife
DÄRKNIFE is a hit of audiovisual ultra-violence from within the heartless concrete megalith. These denim-clad, mixed-medium murderers take no innocent prisoners. Dark techno harking to dissociate '90s electronica and offensive speedcore, backed with glitch heavy, seizure-inducing visuals. DAGGERZ (audio) and LUVSHANK (visuals) have carved out a style that is iconoclastic, raw and imaginative in style and form.
Thanes
Since 2015, Thanes have been crafting kosmische soundscapes put to machine rhythms using a combination of bass VI riffs that’d give Peter Hook night-sweats, drifting female vocals that range from the ethereal to the guttural, and a bank - nay - a wall of synthesisers, vocoders and esoteric tech miscellanea.
The Cortex Shift
The members of The Cortex Shift met as students of the music program at Heathfield High School in Heathfield. Their first public performance was at the Hoot! Adelaide Hills Jazz Festival in June of 2012 and in August of that year they won the Imaginate Battle of the Bands which instigated the recording of their début album, Quest Of Chin' (2016). Their second album, Songs In The Key Of Lunch, will be released later this month.
The Realm of...
The Realm Of... is a project heralded by So Crates and his collaborations with other beings and entities. The Realm tells the truth as it is false and explores the falsity of the truth through sounds and visual stimuli. The Realm has manifested itself throughout the states haunts and has also found space within the chaotic and wonderful art scene of Athens, Greece and recently had a place in the Documenta 14 Art Festival.
Timberwolf
Timberwolf is set to release his debut album later this year, with his previous three singles receiving high-rotation on triple j as well as independent and community stations across the country. 2017 has already seen Timberwolf tour nationally with Amy Shark as well as perform his own headline shows and a number of coveted festival slots and international supports.
