Get ready… Not only has Washington just announced her tour, she'll also be joined by some of Australia's leading symphony orchestras for the shows.
Kicking things off in September at the Sydney Opera House, Washington will embark on a national tour through to mid-November, visiting Brisbane, Hobart, Perth and Melbourne, and will be accompanied by the likes of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, The West Australian Symphony Orchestra and Victoria’s Impossible Orchestra.
“It's an absolute life highlight to be able to work with orchestras of this calibre. When considering repertoire for these shows, it was very important to me that I focus on the future and present new work," explains Megan Washington.
"I want to look musically forward, not back. Essentially these shows are decadent, extravagant album previews for my new record, which will be out next year. It's going to be a sumptuous, romantic art party."
With the shows taking place in some of Australia's most iconic concert halls, this is set to be a truly unforgettable tour.
