Sydney's Lansdowne Hotel will be ringing out with some pretty damn solid sounds for this year's fifth annual Rolling Stone Live Lodge program, taking place over three weeks this September and October.
Leading the charge of artists set to help the venue cement its return to the scene following its recent relaunch are none other than party punks The Gooch Palms, heavyweight heroes High Tension, indie darlings I Know Leopard, super-siblings LASTLINGS, ascendant rapper Citizen Kay, evergreen favourites Horror My Friend and stalwart outfit Sons Of The East.
Celebrated troubadour Josh Pyke will also pop up during the Lodge's tenure for a free 'in conversation' event — including the odd solo acoustic tune — ahead of his upcoming hiatus.
"Some of my fondest memories occurred at the Lansdowne, from seeing Magic Dirt for the first time to discovering grunge pioneer Mudhoney," Rolling Stone editor-in-chief Matt Coyte said in a statement.
"We’ve picked a schedule of entertainment that we think stands up against any from the pub’s history, from well-known local acts to up-and-coming artists. Come and have a drink and a Mary’s burger pizza with us!"
To do just that, you can suss your tickets — although a free event, the 'In Conversation with Josh Pyke' event will also require one — via Oztix.
