SoundCloud is reportedly set to close its Australian office this week, according to AdNews.
It is reported that the Sydney-based staff, including commercial director and former Pandora executive Shaun Alexander, will finish up tomorrow.
The news comes after the streaming giants laid off 40% of its staff this month in an attempt to save enough money "until Q4".
It was reported in February that SoundCloud could run out of money by the end of 2017 after it reported a net loss of over $50 million.
Streaming rivals Pandora also announced earlier this month that all operations in Australia and New Zealand will cease on 31 July (next Monday).
The Music has contacted SoundCloud for comment.
