Stalwart Sydney trio Cloud Control are getting well and truly back in the saddle this September, releasing their eagerly awaited third studio full-length, Zone, before setting off on a national headline tour later in the month.
ZONE is the band's first album since 2013's lauded second LP, Dream Cave, as well as being their first foray following the departure of co-founder Jeremy Kelshaw.

Having already previewed the album with luscious first single Rainbow City, the band have unveiled what they're calling the record's "flagship song" — or its "almost title track" — Zone (This Is How It Feels), which is set for official release tomorrow.
"We surprised ourselves by how much we liked it," keyboardist/vocalist Heidi Lenffer said in a statement. "The song became a symbol of tenacity, pushing forward despite everything. It tied the whole album together."
The song serves as the opening to the new 10-track album, which was self-produced by frontman Alister Wright in various locations, which drummer/vocalist Ulrich Lenffer says was a process that they "underestimated" in terms of duration.
Although the band had originally expected to spend about a year working on the album, the fact that the turnaround extended to three years — and was as much an exercise in endurance as it was liberation — makes the album feel "like a personal triumph", Heidi says.
ZONE will be released on Friday 1 September via Ivy League Records. Pre-orders are available now.
Cloud Control set off for their five-date national tour in support of the album from Friday 22 September, when they get under way at home in Sydney at the Metro Theatre.
From there, they head to Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, where they wrap the run at Badlands on Sunday 1 October.
Tickets will go on sale from 9am tomorrow, 28 July through various vendors.
