Rapper Finese2Tymes (real name Ricky Hampton) has been arrested following the US nightclub shooting over the weekend where 25 people were shot.

According to Rolling Stone, Hampton was headlining Little Rock's Power Ultra Lounge on the night of the shooting, which is believed to have occurred due to a dispute between two groups inside the venue.

While Hampton's arrest is reportedly due to an unrelated matter, Chief Deputy US Marshal Cliff LaBarge has said that the hip hop artist is wanted in connection with the shooting.

Hampton and one other person have been arrested on aggravated assault charges and authorities discovered two handguns and an AK-47 during a search of his car.

Shortly after the shooting took place, Hampton took to Facebook to address the incident.

"Prayers go to the innocent people and their family that came out to support me," the post reads.

"Last night in Little Rock, Ark. The violence is not for the club people. We all come with 1 motive at the end of the day, and that's to have fun. Not to be hurt. So again I send my condolences to the people who were hurt."
