Popular Melbourne bar The Gasometer Hotel is throwing its support behind the three men charged for streaking at last weekend's Community Cup by hosting a charity gig.

As Beat reports, the event will go down on 12 July, with money being raised to cover the $626 fines.

Bands are now being encouraged to get in touch with the venue about performing.

News of the charges has been met with a wave of criticism, as police continue to investigate the identity of a fourth person accused of streaking.

However, Reclink chief executive John Ballis condemned the actions of the accused, saying,  "Under no circumstances would we condone streaking at any Reclink event, which includes the Community Cup".

The Community Cup event will move on to Adelaide on Sunday 16 July, while further games in Brisbane, Sydney, Hobart and Perth are still to come.
