In support of their forthcoming fourth studio album, In ContactCaligula's Horse will hit the road for a massive Australian headline tour this year.

With the LP due out on 15 September via Inside Out Music, the Brisbane prog-rock quintet will kick off the tour just two weeks later in Perth, before moving on to play in Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Newcastle, Sydney and finally in their hometown.

In Contact is the highly-anticipated follow-up to 2015's Bloom and as vocalist Jim Grey says, an "enormous proposition".

"The stories told in this album feel deeply personal, and we've never been more excited to share a new work with the world.

"The sounds on this album are dark and adventurous - but without losing the bittersweet and joyful sounds we developed in writing Bloom."

Following recent runs throughout Australia with Opeth and sleepmakeswaves, the upcoming tour will be Caligula's Horse's only headline shows in the country this year.
