Following last month's announcement regarding the return of Little BIGSOUND, organisers have today unveiled the full program of events and workshops for this year's youth-focused summit at The Edge, in Brisbane's South Bank.

Leading the charge of notable names set to lend their expertise for the event's 15-25-year-old delegates are electro-soul wunderkind Hannah Shepherd — better known as Airling — and renowned muso/industry man Danny Harley, aka The Kite String Tangle.

Airling will be talking about her journey from her humble local roots to her status as a nationally recognised performer and festival drawcard, while TKST (who now complements his own musicality with nurturing other up-and-comers through his label, Exist. Recordings) will guide a song breakdown session, giving attendees insight to how an ARIA-nominated song gets made.

Also on the cards is a songwriting panel with ascendant Mackay songstress Tia Gostelow, ubiquitous producer and muso Konstantin Kersting (The Belligerents, The Jungle Giants) and Dew Process A&R exec John Mullen (Bernard Fanning, Tkay Maidza), as well as an appearance by industry champs such as Title Track's Sarah Chipman (Sticky Fingers, Crystal Castles) and Comes With Fries' Vanessa Picken (The Cat Empire, The Jezabels), talking all things digital marketing and publicity.

For the business-minded out there, Mucho Bravado head honcho Ben Preece will be giving the lowdown on how to release music from conception to execution at the 'Circle Of Life' session for artists, managers, label owners and publicists, while all-rounder Julia Bridger (BLEACH Festival, The FarmHouse) will team up with folks from event organisers QMusic to talk sustainability, structure and income streams for the modern era.

"Little BIGSOUND gives youth creatives a unique opportunity to meet, create and learn," QMusic program manager Trina Massey said in a statement. "Participating will give you the opportunity to become the future of music."

There will also be roundtable sessions allowing groups meet-and-greet time with booking agents, publicists and managers to help aspiring artists find their foothold in the industry, as well as a range of technical sessions in the Digital Media Lab for attendees to try their hand at the Ableton Live studio — including a recording studio featuring the interactive KORG History Of Synths installation — as part of the event's partnership with the software company.

This is all in addition to the concluding showcase to highlight some of the best young-up-and-comers on the block, including Asha Jefferies, Ruby Gilbert, TØBI and Twelve Past Midnight, along with a yet-to-be-revealed special headliner.

Little BIGSOUND hits The Edge on Saturday 29 July. Limited tickets are available now, though if you're under 25 and want to volunteer, you're encouraged to do so now.

All the information you could dream of is available now at the Little BIGSOUND website.
