Well-known to be politically and environmentally conscious, Byron Bay hardcore act In Hearts Wake have revealed plans to clean-up our country's waterways today as part of their new We Are Waterborne initiative.

As the band lead up to the release of their newest album Ark, the five-piece will be joining forces with marine health charity Tangaroa Blue to lead waterway clean-ups in their Byron hometown, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, to combat the fact that marine debris is one of the biggest issues with our waterways.

The lads urge fans to join them as they clean up St Kilda Beach (26 May, the release day of Ark), Bondi Beach (27 May), Captain Burke Park in Kangaroo Point (28 May) and Main Beach (1 June), with the final clean-up coinciding with a special hometown show at The Northern Hotel.

Each clean-up will kick off at 1pm.
