Ed Sheeran Soars Back To The Top Of ARIA Charts After That Huge Tour Announce

Though he was dethroned for a hot minute last week due to the release of Bliss N Eso's Off The Grid, Ed Sheeran has reclaimed his position at the top of the ARIA charts with his latest, ÷ (Divide), making it its ninth week at #1.

After much teasing, Sheeran unveiled plans to return to Australia next March on an epic arena tour.

Thankfully, Off The Grid hasn't fallen too far and still sits at a respectable #5 for its second week on the chart. The top ten this week has stayed fairly stable from last week, however, with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds' Lovely Creatures — The Best Of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds (1984 — 2014) the only debut in the top ten at #8. 

Other debuts this week include At The Drive In's in•ter a•li•a at #15, San Cisco's The Water at #17, Chris Stapleton's From A Room: Volume 1 at #20, Kasabian's For Crying Out Loud at #21, Splendour act Asgeir with Afterglow at #22, Mac Demarco's This Old Dog at #23, Logic's Everybody at #25, Blondie's Pollinator at #29, Pond's The Weather at #33, Motionless In White's Graveyard Shift at #35, Diana Krall's Turn Up The Quiet at #37, Russ' There's Really A Wolf at #54, Slowdive's self-titled at #64, Khalid's American Teen at #81 and Strangers' Mirrorland at #85. 

Over on the Singles chart, DJ Khaled's A-list collaboration I'm The One with Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper and Lil Wayne continues to sit pretty at #1, with gone-solo One Directioner Niall Horan scoring the week's highest debut with Slow Hands. Flume and Kucka picked up the week's highest local debut with their song Hyperreal.
