Following the controversy surrounding a gig at Canberra's ANU Bar this June, which was hit with criticism for featuring an all-male line-up, organisers have confirmed that local female-fronted outfit Betty Alto have been added to the bill.

The Canberra pop-rock band, who formed in 2016, said they are "absolutely stoked" to be included on the line-up.

Betty Alto also dropped their debut single, You're Ready, just last week which can be listened to on Spotify now.

The attention drawn to the the concert last month also resulted in Regurgitator pulling out of the show, who said, "we had no idea of the heavy gender bias of the lineup", while another band booked for the event, Slow Turismo, also cancelled their set.

The ANU Bar gig will go ahead as planned on 17 June before the venue closes.
