Sydney's premiere series of creativity and innovation lectures, TEDxSydney, has enlisted a handful of Australian musicians to perform at this year's event in June, including soul pop singer Ngaiire, Yolngu singer/songwriter Gawurra and ARIA-winning songstress Sarah Blasko.
All three performers are part of the event's first line-up announcement and have been announced alongside speakers such as transgender comedian Jordan Raskopoulos, billionaire Atlassian co-founder Mike Cannon-Brookes, Paralympic swimmer Sarah Houbolt and more.
TEDxSydney's Head Of Curation, Fenella Kernebone, says, "TEDxSydney is about providing a platform for ideas that have the power to create a palpable change in attitudes and ultimately, our lives.
"Whether they’re an artist, academic, author or activist, each one of these speakers brings their unique perspectives and ideas to the TEDxSydney stage."
Held on 16 June this year, TEDxSydney is licensed from TED but is independently organised for Australian audiences.
