Presented by Electric Fish; Making It Rain is a short comedy style show that follows the characters of Frankie and Sal as they embark on some weird and whacky adventures. Frankie is a straight-faced realist who is probably not as smart as she thinks she is, whilst Sal is the ever-joyful optimist. The humour is brought to life by the contrast of these two best friends and their approaches to the situations they get themselves into.
With elements of stand-up comedy, audience interaction, and whimsical stories; this show is designed to get audiences to engage with their inner-child. Its offbeat, a bit weird and a whole lot of fun!
Electric Fish Arts Company is an indie theatre group run by Bec Redsell and Daria Smith. Both graduates of the QUT BFA Drama course, they first collaborated on Bec Redsell’s Honours thesis; an interactive and Immersive Theatre installation that wowed audiences with its detail and ingenuity. Their interests lie in the exploration of innovative techniques and performance styles that drive the audience experience. Making It Rain is the first official performance to be presented by Electric Fish and forms the first episode in a nine-part series starring Frankie and Sal.
FRANKIE SAL IN Making It Rain will be performed at The Junk Bar, Ashgrove in their Skukum Lounge. Doors will open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start.
So, grab your tickets, and an amazing cocktail (courtesy of the team at The Junk Bar) and enjoy the show!
